Areas of research: Multiple particle generation and nuclear fragmentation in interactions with nucleons and nuclei at high energies. Collective effects in hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions at high energies.

Publications: K. Olimov is a well-known scientist, one of the researcher-leaders in nuclear physics and elementary particles in Uzbekistan. He obtained important and unique results on the properties and regularities of hadrons and nuclei strong interaction dynamics. Between 1972 and 2016, as the main author and co-author, he published more than 250 scientific papers, majority of which was published in world-renowned international scientific journals.
