A. A. Mavlonov studied Physics at the National University of Uzbekistan and pursued further training at the University of Leipzig (Germany) and Southwest Jiaotong University (China).
He received his Doctor of Science (DSc) degree in Physical and Mathematical Sciences from the S.A. Azimov Physical-Technical Institute, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in 2024. Since 2026, he has held the position of Leading Researcher in the Photoelectronics Laboratory of the same institute. Since 2019, he has been undertaking a research fellowship at Ritsumeikan University, Japan, in the capacity of Associate Professor. His research interests include perovskite and chalcogenide thin-film photovoltaics, Sb₂Se₃-based absorber materials, transparent electrodes, and photovoltaic device encapsulation. His publications have accumulated more than 2,000 citations.
