Khusniddin Qosimovich Olimov (born in 1976) — Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (2018), Professor (2020).
Field of Scientific Interest:
Fragmentation processes of nuclei in interactions with nucleons and nuclei at high energies. Collective effects in hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions at high energies. Properties (such as temperature, etc.) of highly excited nuclear (hadronic) matter formed in central collisions of relativistic nuclei. Evolution of nuclear (hadronic) matter depending on the mass of the colliding nuclei, collision centrality, and energy.
In recent years, he has been engaged in the phenomenological analysis of heavy-ion collision data from experiments conducted at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC, CERN, Switzerland) and the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC, Brookhaven, USA). Under his scientific supervision, two PhD dissertations have been successfully defended.
Publications: Author of more than 100 scientific publications, including 60 papers in prestigious international journals (Physical Review C, The European Physical Journal A, Journal of Physics, International Journal of Modern Physics E, Physics of Atomic Nuclei) and 7 articles in local (Uzbek) physics journals. He has also published two textbooks and one monograph.
